Unless you’ve been stuck in a cave for the past 5 years you probably know who Britney Spears is. Throughout the years that she has been in the spotlight she has gradually changed her image from a sweet southern girl into an erotic pop queen. Some people love the change others despise it, but most everyone has a valid reason for either loving or hating the change. This is not a paper dedicated to bashing Britney Spears for looking sensual. I am simply going to explain the benefits that came from her image change and the negative effects that extracted from the change.

Turning from sweet to sexy was probably a smart business move for Britney to make because her musical abilities are far from outstanding. I have watched her concerts many times on television and she sounds un-tuned on the songs that she actually sings. Most of her dance songs sound very good live, but that is only due to the fact that her voice is pre-recorded. I know this because there is no way that anyone could sing so perfect and also do all those crazy dance moves she does at the same time. Once again this musical flaw is greatly overlooked due to her overtly sexual image and I can honestly say that I don’t mind it. The reason Britney is gaining so much attention is simply because she is the first teenage star to act and look so sexual.

Overall, Britney Spears is a hot little number, but she did not always used to be. I have seen Britney interviewed about this subject matter and she replied, “If people don’t like my music or the way I look, then they shouldn’t buy it. She would also receive more money for nude posing than most people make in a lifetime. I saw one women on the Howard Stern show that I didn’t even know and she had been offered more than a million dollars to pose nude for Playboy. I saw her Diary show on MTV and it showed how she worked in the studio. Most of us guys like Britney solely for her extreme hotness and nothing more. Also I see that a lot of girls are losing interest in her because she is so focused on turning the guys on. She bought every Britney Spears album that came out up until she turned overtly sexy. Imagine how horrible it would be if Britney Spears was ugly and still sang bad songs. Both women started out fairly innocent and once they got further along in their music carrier they both became big time sex symbols.

Another negative effect it had on her carrier is that some teenagers just stopped listening to her music all together simply because of her image change. She also doesn’t write her own songs, which is a sure sign that someone doesn’t really have enough musical talent.
