Dogs are better than cats for many reasons. The first reason is say you have a favorite autographed football from the great Emmitt Smith and someone breaks into your house and tries to take it. Let me ask you what will a cat do to the robber?... Exactly, not a thing, where a dog would bark or bite the robber and he would probably leave and if not the dog will wake you up so you can call the cops. A cat on the other hand will just rub up against the robbers leg and the robber will more than likely get away with your autographed football. Another reason to get a dog instead of a cat is that dogs are more fun than cats. Its simple, all cats do is sit there and lick themselves. In other words they are just plain boring. Dogs will be there and play with you all the time, they never get too tired to play. All you have to do is pick up ol' fido's stick or ball, whichever your dog perfers, and throw it and the dog will be entertained for hours. The most important reason that dogs are better than cats is that they have more patience with young kids, and thats pretty important if you have small kids because a dog can put up with all kinds of abuse that little kids dish out where as a cat will just claw the kids face and that would be no good. It seems that the only kind of cat you see today is the homeless pregnant kind that hangs outside of wendies waiting for scraps of chicken to be left behind. So if you plan on getting any type of family pet, which kind should you get?...(pause for answer).. thats right! a dog. Thank you for your time in listening to my debate.
