Dazed And Confused Movie Review
What would come to mind when thinking about the late seventies. Most people would say drugs, sex, and music. That is the exact plot of Dazed and Confused. It actually describes the whole movie in the two-word title. Dazed and Confused brings many people back to the most enjoyable years of their life, and many teenagers to only wish to live in that decade. This film was written and directed by Richard Linklater, who was and is still not to well known by the public, although has done many different types roles. Linklater uses his original directing styles in this movie by focusing on one major character and tying his life into the rest of his friends. Trying to give the viewer a look into as many teen perspectives as possible. In 1988 he wrote, produced, directed, and acted in a movie titled It's Impossible to Learn to Plow by Reading Books, which is quite impressive for his role in a movie ever. He also later assisted in movies such as Spy Kids, Newton Boys, and Good Will Hunting. What made this film an unbelievable knockout was a combination of all the necessities. Linklater blended outstanding, young talent, a magnificent cast, perfect directing, and amazing story line all in a tight little package.
Coca-cola symbol not made until 1985,(movie based in the year 1976), songs not produced until couple of years later, and people switching seats in a car without stopping to get out of the car. The star of the movie is Jason London, who plays Randall "Pink" Floyd, Joey Lauren Adams, as Simone Kerr, Ben Affleck as Fred "badass" O'Bannon, and Matthew McConaughy as David Wooderson. Keyser Soze, the writer of the article later states, "Many people that have watched this era, have said that this was a very accurate portrayal"(Soze). It is based in the seventies, as is Dazed, and explains the life of drugs, sex, and parties. Form older people who can actually relate to teenagers who wish to live like that. But as predicted, this is an unthinkable thing to do for a teenager. You have to start livin' 'L, I, V, I, N'"(floyd). Almost Famous is about a young fifteen year old teenager who gets a writing job at Rolling Stones Magazine. Even though this movie did not get perfect ratings, it is a great movie for anyone. Someone looking for a movie that is a little more serious, than this is the movie. Many of these actors went on to be well known actors with a promising career thanks to Dazed and Confused. rts out with a dramatic camera angle that zooms in and an all time classic Aerosmith song blears. This film has a little more plot than Dazed, but the idea is the same. For many of these actors, it was there was first movie ever, so it was a career-breaking movie. What am I signing anyway a 'no fun' school year.
