Job Essay
"Have you noticed my servant Job, and that there is no one on earth like him, blameless and upright, fearing God and avoiding evil?" (Job 2, 8) These are the words spoken from the Lord to Satan about the great man named Job. Although he says that there was no one else in the world like Job, Job was still the one chosen to suffer. Job did not deserve this hardships, unlikne mankind, and did not have a need to repent. Job did not deserve any of the hardships and perils that were placed upon him. It seems that all that was done to him was for God to prove a point. For in his conversation with Satan, Satan proclaims " Is it for nothing that Job is God-fearing?...You have blessed the work of his hands...But now put forth your hand and touch anything that he has and surely h
Mankind, on the other hand, is a world that generally takes things for granted and has no compassion for others. Mankind deserves the same hardships that Job suffered, for the world would not know compassion without suffrage. Although he suffered for the Lord, he should not have had to in the first place. Many of the citizens in today's world are not as upright and honest as they were back in Job's time. He did not have anything to repent for, being as how he did nothing wrong. Because of this their punishments should be even worse than what Job experienced, if you were going by the Doctrine of Retribution. When the three counselors came and urged him to repent, he would praise God and say that he wanted to take it up with the Lord. Even while he was suffering, he never talked against God. So in turn they need suffrage in order to learn compassion. No one should suffer, especially when the person has done nothing wrong, for the point of others. The Lord even said that Job was blameless and upright, that he was god fearing and avoided evil. He said that God had given him everything that he had, so God had the right to take it away. " After the first trial, the Lord changed his mind and decided to allow Satan to do anything to him but he must spare his life. Job was a kind, compassionate person who did not deserve the hardships that were placed upon him. He talked against himself, saying curse the day that he was born and that he should die.
