“The Color of Paradise”
The kid and a horse fell into the water. The little blind child swung his arms around trying to save his life. The horse really had no chance trying to get out of the water and ended up floating down the river. The father stood there and watched as his son was going down the river. After a few moments, the father sprinted to catch up with his son. When he got as close as he could to where his son was he jumped into the river to save him. This was a scene from the movie “The Color of Paradise”. The movie was in Farsi with English subtitles. The movie showed how different the rest of the world is compared to the United States of America. The movie has a strong impact on its audience with its open, twisted ending. The movie is about a blind child named Mohammad and how he views the world. The movie starts at a school for the blind in a city. A school break was coming up and the children had a chance to come home, so parents came and picked up their kids. Mohammad’s father doesn’t c . . .
He could because the Grandmother could cook, make rugs, and even was able to take care of the children. I thought this film was a good one and everyone should go see it. Hours after all the kids left, the boy’s father shows up and pleads with the teacher to take him home with him. It was more of a farming area and not much industry nearby their home. “The Color of Paradise” was a great foreign film that showed a great outlook on another country’s way of life. As the movie goes on, you can see how the father feels that the child is a burden to him. Mohammad’s father used his mother as help in trying to get his new wife. Even if someone had to use a plane, taxi, boat, bus, or even rent a car, an American could get his child from the school and back home in less than a day. Mohammad’s father tries to remarry another woman during the movie. The home Mohammad and his family lived in was made from mud. The movie tries to point out all the good aspects of the boy and all the bad points of the father. Also you get to see how the rest of the boy’s family sees him. Most of the roads in the movie were not paved, but were dirt instead. In Las Vegas a man can marry a woman within a few hours if he wanted to. For example, the movie explains how easy an American can get to their home from anywhere.
