Smoking story
Sometimes we do things that we don't want to do. For me, it is smoking. I really want to quit, but my will isn't strong enough. Sometimes, when I'm waiting for my flight in the airport, I go to smoking place and I see people staring at me with very uncomfortable eyes. I really hate the feeling that I have in that moment. It is like being a driven wild teenager surrounded by a bunch of school teachers. It is very uncomfortable, annoying and embarrassing. But, on top of that, I don't really want to smoke. I was expecting that I could quit smoking after coming to America. Well, I betrayed myself. I've tried to quit smoking so many times though. It simply didn't work. Now, I'm smoking again even with the bad smell and the dizzy feeling. But, I didn't expect to be like this at the beginning. I still remember the moment I gave my father a gift for the first time so clearly. It was a set of pipe that helped stop smoking. It was when I was only 8 years old. My family was very poor that time. But, I managed to have some money in my pocket somehow. And I spent them all for my father. My father was so amazed by my idea and effort. I wasn't having enough toy back then. But, to save those money, I had to learn how
Sudden call of nature stroke me time to time. But, the problem was that patch itself was also very addictive. And my body still can not take that much. Some people might say that I'm still heavy smoker. Now, I smoke about one pack a day. Whenever we had break time, we went out for smoking. And I couldn't imagine that I would ever smoke when I was watching my father's happiest smile on his face. Basically, I went out to public bathroom at least one time a day to cover my habit from my parents. It is much less than before, but I still have a long way to go to stop this curse. And every each time I tried to stop smoking, I became much heavier smoker. But, I wanted my father to quit smoking because I loved my father and I knew that smoking was bad for the health.
