Manage My Career
That is something that I do not know at this point in my life. I know that when I do get a career I will manage it between work and my home life. My family will be the first on my list. A person can all ways find a job, but you cannot find a new family. I do not even know what I want my career to be. I know that I want to be financially stable, without over doing it. I would like to be successful in my career but success has a different meaning to me than Studs Turkel, he though that to be successful you had to be in the elite. Success to him was a thing that you had, such as money and fame. Success to me is something that you feel. If you do not have lots of money and are not famous, that does not mean that you are not successful. Raising a good stable, healthy family and being happy with what you have is success
If nothing is ever good enough for you, as in "The Rocking Horse Winner," by D. If your goal is to get a job and you accomplish that, you are successful. If he sees one brick that is out of place or flawed the whole house is ruined. We make mistakes and just because we made that mistake does not mean that our lives are over. I see the mason looking at his house as perfection. These were some of the views that we portrayed in Erich Fromn's, "Work in an Alienated Society. The world today puts too much on material possessions. In that story the boy kept striving and working and pushing himself to accomplish his goal, but the harder he tried the harder it became. I view the world as all the little things make up the big things. The truth is that the house is not ruined because of one brick out of place.
