Cleopatra Report
I did a report on the last pharaoh of Egypt who was Cleopatra VI (6th). Cleopatra was born in 69 B.C. in Alexandria, which was the capital of Egypt at the time. Cleopatra's father, Ptolemy XII (12th) also nicknamed Auletes, was the Pharaoh of Egypt. He most probably married his own sister Cleopatra V Tryphaena. In those days it was okay to marry siblings and family members. Cleopatra had two older sisters named Cleopatra VII (7th) and Berenice, she had two younger brothers both named Ptolemy and a younger sister named Arsinoe. Cleopatra VII died of unknown causes. Cleopatra and brother Ptolemy inherited the throne in 51 B.C. after their father died. Cleopatra was around 17 or 18 when she married brother Ptolemy who was 12 years old, but it was just a marriage of convenience only. She married him because he was the pharaoh. He was always in the background while Cleopatra ruled alone. Ptolemy's advisors didn't like Cleopatra and banished her to Syria and her little sister Arsinoe went with.Cleopatra was determined to regain her throne. By the time the guards got to Cleopatra's room she was dead. The guards checked it to make sure everything was ok and it was fine. " Caesar acknowledged Caesarian as his son because Caesarian resembled Caesar a lot. He was impressed at the way she arrived dressed as Venus the goddess of love. Later he was told that she was still alive and he told his men to carry him to her. There were to prick marks on her arm. Her wish was granted and she was buried by Antony. he married Cleopatra and had a son named Ptolemy Philadelphus. Cleopatra went back to Egypt, but there was protection provided for her by Caesar. The people back in Rome were disgusted by the way Antony treated Octavia, and they were very angry to hear that Antony was calling himself a God and Cleopatra calling herself a Goddess. Anotny got married to Octavian's half sister Octavia and had two girls. Cleopatra was with him at all times doing everything with him like going hunting, drinking, watching him build up his arms, and at night they would go out dressed as servants and bug people.
