Abortion

             "Is aborting a baby murder?", my friend asked. Abortion has always been a controversial topic amongst everyone. It has been talked and argued non-stop on the news, in magazines, and in schools, you name it. It is quite impossible to find anyone who does not have an opinion about abortion: whether people are involved directly or indirectly, or whether people are for it or against it. Women abort for a number of different social reasons, perhaps, they were not economically, medically, or morally ready to take care of a child, so abortion was the only way out for them. But for me, I believe that abortion should only take place if a woman was raped by a man (who had nothing better to do in their low-life than to rape innocent women!).
             Personally, I think every person is entitled to his or her own opinions and women have a right to decide if she wants to abort. I believe that it should be restricted to the first five weeks, since it is a week after knowing that you 've missed a period and nothing has developed in the womb yet, but anything after that would be wrong since it would develop into a fetus in time. However, abortion should definitely not be used as a primary birth control, but rather it be determined based on the circumstances of the pregnancy. Abortion can be an agonizing experience because women may become traumatized after what had happened, however, a woman should have the choice and right to have an abortion if she was raped.
             Being raped leaves the woman feeling disgusted. Who in their right mind, would want to bear a child knowing that it was from being raped, let alone take care of it?! That something in her was something that was unplanned for and forced upon on. It would be horrifying to force a rape victim to bear an unwanted baby and give up all her dreams she ever had.
