Abortion
"Is aborting a baby murder?", my friend asked. Abortion has always been a controversial topic amongst everyone. It has been talked and argued non-stop on the news, in magazines, and in schools, you name it. It is quite impossible to find anyone who does not have an opinion about abortion: whether people are involved directly or indirectly, or whether people are for it or against it. Women abort for a number of different social reasons, perhaps, they were not economically, medically, or morally ready to take care of a child, so abortion was the only way out for them. But for me, I believe that abortion should only take place if a woman was raped by a man (who had nothing better to do in their low-life than to rape innocent women!). Personally, I think every person is entitled to his or her own opinions and women have a right to decide if she wants to abort. I believe that it should be restricted to the first five weeks, since it is a week after knowing that you've missed a period and nothing has developed in the womb yet, but anything after that wo
It would be horrifying to force a rape victim to bear an unwanted baby and give up all her dreams she ever had. She should not exceed the first five weeks because that would be considered murder, in my opinion. Many people may think that abortion is murder. That is understandable and very true, but who was asked to be raped?! No one looks it at that point of view. However, abortion should definitely not be used as a primary birth control, but rather it be determined based on the circumstances of the pregnancy. uld be wrong since it would develop into a fetus in time. She was the one who decided to drank and did drugs when she was pregnant, so why kill the child that was created by her and her stupid mistakes that she made while being pregnant? Because the child did not come out "perfect"? Adoption is always an option. Women are able to make their own decisions, after all it is their decision and they are the ones who are going to have live with the outcome. Though it may be handicapped, it still deserves to live and at least experience life. In magazines, I've read about many women who have had abortions with the knowledge that their child will come out extremely handicapped and I believe that that is morally wrong. She would be reminded of that horrifying rape incident for the rest of her life. Abortion can be an agonizing experience because women may become traumatized after what had happened, however, a woman should have the choice and right to have an abortion if she was raped. Each day, and each look into her child's eyes would bring back and remind her of the horrifying incident. But raped victims should not regret aborting the baby anyway.
