Henry V

             About the name Henry V there hovers more controversy than any other king in England's lengthy existence. King Henry was a great milestone in English history. Henry rose up from the slums of England to become arguably the greatest king in England's vast, expansive and rich history. When Henry assumed the throne, many people doubted his ability as a king, for his reputation was tainted by his vulgar past, spending the larger part of his time in taverns downing glasses of ale. But Henry soon proved himself to be a commendable ruler following his victorious battles in France.
             Henry radiated with optimism and motivation. Just one of his lone speeches empowered and moralised his troops to fare the final step during the battle of Harfleur. Henry, an able, fierce warrior was a role model to his troops in how they should fight a battle and endure anything the enemy could put forth.
             Henry had an advantage over all the former kings England possessed. Due to his lowly upbringing, he possessed the unique ability to properly understand the psyche of the English "common man". This endowed gift permitted Henry to interact with and accurately perceive what the majority of the English population thought. This also made the English lower class feel more "on their ruler's level". But never the less, Henry was a great man unlike no other king England had been under.

             Henry was a very patient, tolerant and responsible man as it says in act IX: "Upon the King! Let us our lives, our souls,
             Our children and our sins lay on the King! We must bear all.
             He also stood up for what he was. When the Dauphin, sent by the king of France presented him with tennis balls Henry cunningly accepted the offensive gift and pronounced: "When we have match'd our rackets to these balls We will in France, by God's grac
