Marriage

Young teenagers in today's day in age are taking on the great responsibility as parents. As foolish as it may sound, it is very true. Statistics show that there are 47 pregnancies for every 1000 teenagers between the ages of 15-19. Teenagers are not realizing the risk their taking and the responsibility that goes hand in hand with being a parent. They are putting themselves and their partner at risk by not using protection, which could also lead to serious cases of sexually transmitted infections. Teen pregnancy is a concern to many people throughout the world. Many efforts have been made to educate youth about sexual activity and birth control. Teen pregnancy is viewed to be the cause of many problems. Teen mothers are more likely to not finish high school or even attend university. In addition, it is estimated that as much as 80% of unwed teen mothers end up in welfare. Compared to 25 years ago, pregnant teens are also far less likely to be married. Some if lucky will have the support

I don't know how any child could every do without their very own mother in our world today. "As much as I missed out on all the things teenagers did, I have no regrets any longer of not giving up my baby because it has built a strong foundation and has taught me a sense of responsibility. Often times, this is how mother daughter relationships are strengthened. Mothers and daughters need to acknowledge that without this bond they are allowing themselves to be closed off from the greatest source of power, fulfillment and understanding of one another. " Lizzie is just one of the many teens in our city today that has experienced such an incident, but luckily had her mother as her backbone. "I don't know what I would have done without my mother, it is like God gave me this child to allow me to realize what great accomplishments are driven from the bond between a mother and a daughter, and now I look at her as my very best friend," states Lizzie to one of the sources. She became pregnant at the age of 16 with her boyfriend, who was her brother's best friend. Lizzie and her Mother's relationship was not strengthened until later when Lizzie had her own child. Surprisingly, 30% of the mothers of pregnant teens are sympathetic towards the incident that has occurred. Education is also vitally important in helping youth become aware of their options when it comes to sex. Abstinence should also be taught along with contraception so that youth understand they have the right to a choice. " Is it possible, can anyone else do? .
