The Bicycle Accident
Many people have various things that they value; some say they value their families, animals, or even their collection of Cd's. No matter what these certain values are that person may have it is yours and you hold it dear to your heart. There is one main value that I have that is more important than any other value and that is the value of having such a loving, caring, and devoted family. Family is a value that can not be replaced, especially when it comes to my children. When I look at my daughter A'Kema I wish that she could suppress all of the bad things that happen to her and somehow overcome it in some sort of way. She faces the same amount of problems that an average two year old, but I know that she will soon be over the hump. My daughter loves to ride her bike she will kick and scream if she is not able to take her bike outside. Today was just like any other sunny day, but good turned into bad once the accident happened. While I was sitting on my hard concrete porch, I watched my two daughters riding their bikes. I was in the process of having a conversation with my neighbor Jamie, and she is telling how her pregnancy is going. As I listen and laugh at some of the things that she says I tell her "I'm just glad it is not m
Upon returning to the living room, my husband is holding A'Kema and he is trying to calm her down as she is screaming frantically. I also know that family is the only thing that I can say that I have. My children mean the world to me and I know that no one can take them away from me. I was at the bottom of the stairs yelling at the top of my lungs "Donnie, Donnie, Kema busted her lip on her bike. " She smiles and says "Donnie may want a little boy on day and it's like it's in the water around here. A little girl had pushed my daughter off of her bike and made her hit her teeth on the front bar of her bike. I know that this is just a simple bicycle accident but it was more than that to me. I knew that this was something that I would have to deal with because all children have accidents. I place the cold towel in her mouth and it must have startled her because she jumps. I myself think that it could always be worst than it actually is and maybe it will be the last time she would be able to ride her bike. " I look at A'Kema grabbed her and ran into the house. All I could see in her mouth was her pretty white teeth covered in blood. I go into the house to get something to drink and a book to read for when I return to sit on the porch.
