Twelve Angry Men: Assignment Based on Act 1
Unlike all the other jurors in Twelve Angry Men , juror number eight votes not guilty. Juror number eight votes not guilty for many different reasons for example he votes this way because he feels that the boy is only nineteen and he deserves a fair trial, he does not want to throw the boys life away. "There were eleven votes for guilty. It is not easy for me to raise my hand and send a boy off to die without talking about
24) This proves that anyone could have bought the same knife from the store around the corner from the boy's house. "I got it last night in a little junk shop around the corner from the boys house. In conclusion all of the other jurors vote guilty when juror number eight is the only one who votes not guilty. But juror number eight proves to the other jurors that anyone could have bought the same knife, by bringing out the exact knife and laying it down beside the murder weapon. When juror number eight put the same knife on the table beside the murder weapon that was what really made me feel that the boy could be innocent. 18) Another reason why juror number eight votes not guilty is because one of the only pieces of evidence is the knife, which the jurors are made to believe that the murder weapon is an uncommon knife. I do agree with juror number eight for voting not guilty, I see it the same way he does, the boy has a lot ahead of him and this decision is not one that should be rushed.
