Do I agree that individual make rational choices about whether or not to commit a crime? Yes and No, because it depends on the type of crime committed. Most dealers do their homework on who to sale to and where to sale at. A person who commits a series of killing, that individual rational choice was to commit that crime. He/She mistakenly kill their spouse, this is not a rational choice to commit a crime because the person did not intend to kill their spouse. This is why I agree and disagree that individuals make rational choices to commit a crime. Drug dealers are rational decision makers on committing a crime. A lot of people make rational choices on committing crimes. When dealing with rational choices about whether or not to commit crime, I think it depends on the crime. Most crimes are thought about before the crime is committed and there are those who commit crime without knowing, such as anger, protection and aggression type crime. A couple is married and they love each other, but get into a conflict and violence began. A drug dealer has an idea on how and where to commit a crime. Drug dealers do not sale to anybody, or sale on any territory.
