A Short Story
"STOP! This is the police! Hold it right there!" That's all I here as I run through these crowded streets. Why are they chasing me? I'm not the one they are looking for but no one else can see that. Well it obviously is because of last night but that's not how it happened... It was a normal night for any teen here in Bellville, All of my friends were getting together at John's house because his parents were on a business trip. Everything was going good, the music was loud and the people were even louder. Just the way we like it. Around 2:00am the party started to die down and there were only four of us left. We decided to go to the boat landing. Now keep in mind we all had had a few to drink and this probably wasn't the best idea but hey, were teenagers and when do we ever do anything we should? When we got there we saw a boat coming into the shore. We didn't think anything of it until it came to a halt just beside one of the other boats and then left in a hurry. "Who knows?" Replied Sarah "Everyone in this town is weird so I wouldn't worry about it" As soon as those words left her mouth the boat exploded. It blew up with such force that the four of us were knocked on to the ground. W
"Oh my god" I said aloud "That was the mayors boat. What would my parents say? Oh I just didn't know what to do. Before I knew it I was being awakened by one of the old ladies that I always saw feeding pigeons. I had to go past the station to get home so I was worried. There was something written on it so I picked it up. No police, no spectators, no reporters, no one. I figured if I was going to get any sleep I was going to have to go to the docks and see what was happening there. I didn't know what to do so I went back to Johns. Should we go to the police?" said John "NO! We can't do that. To my dismay I saw a police car parked in my driveway and an officer talking to my parents on the front porch. There was a police van parked on the beach a little ways away from the site.
