Corruption: a Worldly Problem

             It shows that corruption has been around for a really long time, and who knows exactly for how long this has happened. Corruption exists in every part of the world and, perhaps, without knowing it, is affecting many people in many different ways. The effect of corruption goes so far that even
             complete nations are being affected. In what ways are they being affected? Why does corruption keeps spreading? And will it end some day? Many people have asked themselves these same questions and have found some answers.
             Before considering some problems in the comparative study of corruption, first we must understand what the term corruption stands for.
             Corruption can be defines as:behavior which deviates from the formal duties of a public role (elective or appointive) because of private-regarding (personal, close family, private clique) wealth
             or status gains: or violates rules against the exercise of certain types of private-regarding influence.?
             (Scott) In simpler terms, it means bravery or dishonesty.
             Many entire nations are being affected by corruption. They suffer of poverty, poor health and
             low life expectancy, and these are some of the problems that the nations have to go through. In many
             countries all the income that the nation receives does not go to many places but to the pockets of the
             people who are ruling it. For example, Charles Lewis, executive director of the Centre for Public
             Integrity in Washington told Inter Press Service thathigh-level corruption is more pernicious in
             poor countries. When a leader loots what precious assets the people and their country actually have,
             the moral outrage is much grater. More people, innocent people are affected and the unfairness and
