Mathematics and its Necessity

             Mathematics is often defined as the study of quantity, magnitude, and relations of numbers or symbols. It embraces the subjects of arithmetic, geometry, algebra, calculus, probability, statistics, and many other special areas of research. But do we really need mathematics in our real life? Are calculus and other complex branches of mathematics really necessary?
             Come to think of it, why do students have common ideas regarding math? Why is it almost all, see math as hard, difficult and complex subject? In student's everyday life, math blends with their mind and activities, with their soul and actions. Math is the powerful thing that spices up our life. It is simply the powerful spice that thrills and tricks human beings. Math simply let people enjoy the wonderful world of imagination, thinking and philosophy.
             In the beginning, God made the world in his own likeness and image. He put things into order and balance. There had been an equal distribution of wealth and resources through out the universe. He created man, as the balance of nature and the caretaker of everything he creates. Man, as a picture of God also tries to put things into balance. There had been beautiful things, so as ugly things; there had been good people so as bad people; there had been... the positive and negative aspects of life. And yes, one thing that balances the easy living is the toughness and hardness of thinking mathematics and applying it into our daily lives. That was one of the greatest roles of mathematics in our society; in our environment... to BALANCE!
             Mathematics is pervasive throughout modern life. Baking a cake or building a house involves the use of numbers, geometry, measures, and space. The design of precision instruments, the development of new technologies, and advanced computers all use more technical mathematics.
