Courage

             There has been a moment though out every persons life were they have had to mount some courage to overcome an obstacle, goal or even a disaster. In Webster's Dictionary, courage is defined as, "the attitude of facing and dealing with anything recognized as dangerous, difficult, or painful"("courage" 318). Courage is considered to be a noble and right thing in almost every ones mind. Whether or not someone obtains this can make a huge difference in the way people look on, talk about and even whether or not they will try to befriend that person. Courage can be defined by characteristics; bravery, daring, gallantry.
             Bravery is an example of being courageous. The word "bravery" is defined in Webster's New World Dictionary as, "the quality of being brave; valor" (Bravery 170). One example of bravery is the story of a fifteen-year-old boy in Texas. In the New American news, "Teen risked life to save a young girl"(The New American, Feb 25, 2002), this is a great example of the word "bravery". There were two eleven-year-old twin sisters who were riding bicycles in their neighborhood. When they were riding their bicycles in their neighborhood, there were two pit bulls barking behind a wooden fence in a nearby yard. The dogs some how escaped the fence and began chasing two twin sisters. Fifteen year old Brian had been riding his bicycle in that area and witnessed the twins, as soon as he saw a twins who were chased by two pit bulls, he jumped on his bike and pedaling toward the girls to preclude the dogs from harming them. He made the dogs turned their attention to him. When he tried to escape from dogs, the dog bit through his front tire and made it flat and the dogs began to bite him.
