In the world today as well as in the past body art has always been a way for a person to express there inner self. You can see in the modern world how some people have taken to body art like a mouse to cheese. Some people do not think it is anything but a fade. Most of the problems are surrounding gangs. Some of the men in New Guinean put scarab beetle horns in there nose to show that they are fierce. A "tatu" as the Tahitian say it or "daqq" as the Arabic say it is an expression of ones inner self. These signs are not just a way of expressing them selves but it is a tradition. One of the earlier methods of tattooing was to hold a sharp pointed object over the skin and to tap it the point in with some color. Some time the point smaller or larger for the arties could make different shapes. Then there is the colored tear drop that is a sign that they have killed before. A tattoo can tell a person whole life and then some. Tattoos can be used to express the person's beliefs or it can tell a story about a person's family. In some gangs there many different types. This does not mean that all tattoos are bad. It is true that there are such things as gang tattoos.
