Genetic Engineering Persuasive Essay

One chemical holds the secret of life. It contains the instructions for manufacturing everything from bacteria to a human being with trillions of specialized or genetically altered cells. The chemical is called deoxyribonucleic acid, or what is better known as DNA. It is about to change our world or has already begun to do so. But is the change that comes with it worth the effects it could have on society? I don't think that genetically altering DNA or genetically engineering something is a good idea. One reason is because it could pose a serious threat to the existence of life on earth. Once we started to genetically alter living systems, where would we draw the line? We could just manufacture

Genetic engineering also has its benefits. These problems include the survival, growth, and distribution of such bacteria with long-term harmful ecological results that can't be effectively planned. And since more than six billion people now live on earth, an adequate food supply is needed for survival. people's bodies and design them exactly how we want them to look and act. Using genetic engineering, scientists can create large quantities of enzymes and hormones in laboratories. If we disturb the balance of Nature, imbalance will occur in the fertility and growth of craps and their consumers which happens to be wildlife, farm animals, and human beings. But even with the need for survival, there needs to be a way for managing the population on earth. Need it be death by famine or disease, there has to be a way for people to die and to keep our planet inhabitable. Also, genetic engineering creates great risks. Some of the other risks that genetic engineering could cause include the accidental release of harmful organisms, but also problems resulting from the deliberate release of organisms such as bacterial pesticides. Even with advantages genetic engineering could give the world today, it's not worth it in the long run. Genetic engineering could also produce stronger and nutritious crops. So the only practical thing to do right now is to not allow genetic engineering and discover more practical ways of doing things. Our population could diminish greatly because of it or it could greatly increase.
