Friends were plays an important part in our lives. Friendship means to share, to love, and to support, us to grow. In William Shakespeare's tragedy Hamlet, Horatio represents a true and loyal friend for Hamlet, the prince of Denmark, son of the late King Hamlet and Queen Gertrude. After Old King Hamlet die by murder, Horatio helps Hamlet to find out the truth behind Old Hamlet's death. Horatio swears by Hamlet's sword that he will not tell anybody about what did he hear and see about the ghost.
             " And lay your hands again upon my sword.
             Never to speak of this that you have heard."
             Hamlet talks to Horatio (Act 1. scene 5 lines 179-181)
             That shows he is obedient, and trustworthy companion to Hamlet, he helps Hamlet to keep secrets. The other time that Horatio shows he is Hamlet's true and loyal friend is when he tells Hamlet that he sees the Old King Hamlet.
             " And I with them the third night kept the watch,
             [Where, as] they had delivered, both in time,
             Form of the thing (each word made true and good.)
             The apparition comes. I knew your father,
             These hands are not more like."
             Horatio talking to Hamlet (Act 1. scene 2. lines 218-222)
             That shows Horatio is a true and loyal friend. He tells Hamlet that everything he sees, he doesn't know if the ghost is evil or kind, first consider in his mind isn't his safety, but wants to deeply explore and makes sure to gives right information to Hamlet. During discover the truth of Old Hamlet's death, Horatio always gives good advice to Hamlet.
             The humor says that Old Hamlet was killing by King Claudius, so Hamlet orders Horatio to spy on King Claudius to see if he reacts.
