My Sanctuary
Whenever I feel overwhelmed or worn out, I go to my room. If I need a break or just some time to myself, you can find me there too. It is not like any other room in the house. It is where I feel most safe and comfortable. Where I can always be myself. It is a room that belongs to me. It may look like all the other rooms in the house, but my room is unique to my personality. It is just perfect for me. In the room is a desk, a closet, an armoire, a trunk, and of course my bed. The walls are painted a light shade of violet with the molding in a royal purple color. Against the far wall across from the door is my desk and armoire. Inside the closet are hangers all occupied with clothes including skirts and dresses. It is away from the rest of the bedrooms. The rest of my clothes are kept in the closet. The closet, found right next to the armoire, is vast. My bed is the first thing my family and friends assemble on when they visit my room. There is always a light scent of pineapple and mango in the air from candles that I burn at times when I want to relax. There is a special place at the bottom of the closet, where I keep my shoes. I have a peace lily plant under the window and my brown wicker memorabilia trunk, filled with gifts, cards, and pictures, sitting next to it. desk is a matching filing cart that holds all my necessary paperwork in bright purple hanging folders. The TV sits on top of the armoire along with an alarm clock and cell phone charger. The armoire is on the right side of my desk and is in a beautiful crisp white color with silver handles. The location of my room is excellent. Every night, I fall asleep under my white down comforter with the lilac colored sheets and pillows while holding onto my favorite stuffed bear, a birthday gift from my boyfriend. On the opposite wall is a queen size wrought iron bed.
