Compare and Contrast

             Everyone has his or her own reason for going to the mall. Most people take for granted why they go to the mall and don't really think about why others go to the mall. Most people assume that everyone goes to the mall to buy, but that's not true. I know first hand that not everyone goes to the mall to buy something. I only have to look at my family and I can see that different people have different reasons for going to the mall.
             Most people do go to the mall to buy things, however sometimes one doesn't have money to buy anything so they settle for window-shopping. This seems like a favorite pass time for people, especially teenagers. My sister, a 16-year-old teenybopper, is a great example of this. Like most teenagers she prefers to go to the mall with her friends. She, along with her friends, loves going to the mall to window-shop or "hangout" as they call it. They can spend hours upon hours trying on clothes and accessories that are today's latest trends. Often my sister, trying on the make-up testers, comes home with a new shade of lipstick on her lips or a new shade of eye shadow on her eyelids that are the season's new color. Also, like many other teenagers this is where they hangout, eating fast food at the malls food court gives them a chance to scope out good-looking guys. But the main attraction for them like many people is the window shopping, which seems that they can never get enough of.
             Then we have those people who can't help but go to the mall because they are addicted to spending their money. A perfect example of this type of person is my mother, the shopaholic, goes to the mall and buys, buys, buys. She buys anything and everything as long as it is on sale or is considered to be a bargain. I don't think my mom ever comes home empty handed; she always comes home with something. At our house my sister and I have nicknamed the spare room "Wal-Mart", it has everything in it from linen...
