Budhism

Buddhism is an old religion, full of culture and fantastic profound legends and stories that are full of good moral values and teachings. Buddhism is about 2339-2342 years old, when Siddhartha Buddha lived, and Buddhism is based on his teachings, which were based four noble truths. The four noble truths are life is suffering, suffering has a cause, there is a way to overcome suffering, and the way is the eight fold path.

Buddhism is a very prominent religion. Many people are Buddhists, especially in Asia. But to further understand Buddhism you need to trace it back to its roots, India, at the foot of the Himalayan Mountains where Siddhartha Gautama was borne a prince.

Siddhartha Gautama was the son of king Shuddhodana. King Shuddhodana was the king of Kapilavastu. Siddhartha’s mother was queen Mahamaya. Before she was pregnant queen Mahamaya dreamed that a beautiful white six tusked elephant impregnated her. She told the king about her dream and the king talked to soothsayers who said that he would either be a great king or become a holy man.

When the baby was born Shuddhodana named his son Siddhartha which means one who does great things or every whish fulfilled. Siddhartha was Shuddhodan

. . .

Using his newfound knowledge Siddhartha sat under a bodhi tree and reached enlightenment and became Sakyamuni Buddha

Seeing the truth Sakyamuni Buddha found five hermits and he told his four noble truths to them. They chant several tones all at once and they believe when they do this correctly all the tones collapse together and form one holy sound.

Siddhartha had an evil cousin, Devadatta, who was jealous of him and did cruel things out of spite before Siddhartha left the kingdom to become an ascetic.

Despite his fathers wishes he grew restless and one day he told his chariot driver to take him outside the palace so that he could see the outside world. This sect is the sect that most tries to fallow the old tradition and fallow Sakyamuni Buddha’s direct teachings. The musician said to his student that if the string was pulled too tight it would snap and if the string was too loose it would not play. a’s only successor and he greatly wanted his son to grow up to be a great king and expand the kingdom. In one martial arts contest he won a wife and in a few years they had a son whose name was Rahul. King Shuddhodana was happy because this made him think that he would not wonder off and become a holy man, now that he had a strong attachment to home. She could not find one and she realized that death is everywhere and should be accepted.

There are some things in Buddhism that I think are ill founded such as the second and fifth Skandhas. For assaulting the great Buddha like that Devadatta died instantly.

Siddhartha was very moved and he decided to give up his leisurely lifestyle and become an ascetic himself. There are five Skandhas that represent all that is impermanent in life, one is your physical body, two are your feelings, three are your dispositions, four are your perceptions, and five is your consciousness and reasoning.
