Badminton probably originated in India as a grownup's version of a very old children's game known in England

I am not more educated about the history of badminton. The Grand Prix Finals tournament has a total purse of $350,000. It is one of the few sports where men and women can compete on more or less equal terms, which led to the popularity of mixed doubles in the many clubs and leagues around the country. The battledore was the paddle and the shuttlecock a small-feathered cork, now usually balled a "bird. Open, which offers $200,000 in prize money, is the highest paying tournament on the tour. I also found out that badminton became a professional sport in the 1980s, when the IBF established the World Grand Prix Circuit. It was soon taken up by army officers staying at Beaufort house and by the mid-1870; badminton clubs were being set up all over the country. However, if it is one of the only things I learn or experience, badminton is a very skilled sport. Although, I was aware it was a part of the Olympics, I had no idea it was included only 10 years ago.
