Nature... Through Song & Writing

The concepts of beauty, relaxation and perfection in nature have yet to die. We see the results of inspiration through works of art, music, poetry, and philosophy. Through time, the passion of nature has grown with diversity between all ages, nationalities, and gender. In 1844, a philosopher named Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote and expressed his views on nature. Emerson wrote about its tranquility. India Arie, a contemporary musician also shares the same idea through a song ironically titled "Nature". Arie sings about the beauty and simplicity of the things around us. In her song she emphasizes the pleasures of "God's creations". The thought of nature in the world has been ongoing. The concepts have yet to cease and even today they inspire society. Emerson chose to express his idea through writing. Since he was a writer and public speaker, writing would be the most appropriate medium. His writing style was strong and he did a good job of getting his point across. Emerson compares human life to the essence of the environment. He writes that the changes in season are like "... every hour of change and it corresponds to different states of mind." Emerson greatly expresses his views th

He says the seasons are where the world reaches its perfection; he says the air, heavenly bodies, and earth make harmony; he talks about the cattle having tranquil thoughts. Her songs are played on the radio, sold in the stores and heard on TV. The audience each form of media appeals to differs. If you were to listen to Arie then read Emerson's writing or vice versa, you'd see quite a connection. Arie is lucky enough to be living during this time were everyone can be heard. "The work is a remarkable one, and it certainly will be called remarkable by those, who consider it . Through time and change in society the ideas of nature still live on. Now, things are much easier to be advertised. as well as those, who look upon it with reverence as the effusion of a prophet-like mind.
