Drafting High School Athletes

Making money is the essential reason why we work. Since you have to work don’t you want to do something you love? That is what high school athletes want to do. They want to enter the draft and play professional sports. They want to do what they love for a living and what they are good at. That is exactly what they should be able to do. If they have the talent and professional teams want to draft them it should be no reason why they can not. High school athletes should have the right to enter the draft.

Entering the draft is a big decision and can affect an athlete life. By entering the draft the athlete is securing their financial well-being. The average professional athlete makes more money than most people with a 9 to 5 job makes in a lifetime. With this money they can support themselves and their family. This is the dream for most athletes. They want to get their parents their dream house, support them so they do not have to work anymore and in some cases move their family out of the ghetto. That is what high school athletes are taking into consideration. They are trying to get a job that they want to do and would not mind waking up and going to work. They come from poor families who are in need of a financial blessing. With any path you choose in life there is a chance that you might not succeed. He wanted to “provide a better way of life for my mother” (. They should be able to have their cake and eat it too. Although they practice to improve their game they are naturally good. He ranks in the top 5 in scoring, three point field goals made, free throw, and many more (Tracy McGrady profile).

Entering the draft after high school would not be possible if these students did not have what it takes to make it as a professional athlete. But for those who are ready and have the opportunity to make it as a professional they should enter the draft and live their dream life. These athletes know what they want to do and do not want to waste time getting to where they want to be. For those who are not yet ready for the pros they would have to work harder and go to college to help improve their game. They have a god given talent that they can use to make a living. Kwame was not just thinking of him when he decided to go straight to the pros he was thinking of his seven siblings and mother. Can you blame them? You would do the same thing if someone was going to pay you millions of dollars to do a job that you enjoyed doing.
