Too Much Sex

Advertising these days relies heavily on sex and sex appeal. There is way too much sexual content and half naked bodies in the advertisements of today. It almost seems that every product today has at least one advertisement that is related to sex in one way or another. The thing that is the most shocking is the fact that no one really is taken back by it. Instead, most people just look at these advertisements and carry on with his or her life, thinking nothing of it. The others, who just don't look at it and move on, look at them and want to see more sexual ads because society nowadays is slowly becoming driven by sex, amongst other things. As for advertising, there are a few reasons why advertising is being dominated by sex. The main reason sex pops up in many advertisements is for the simple reason that people like viewing the opposite sex in sexual ways. It's just human nature most men like sex and most women like sex. From the advertisers point of view, if they could put an image of sex in one's head, and that person likes sex, then there is a chance that the product will make the consumer feel good, hence the consumer could possibly go out and buy the certain product strictly based on the advertisement he or she

People who participate in the social scenes of our culture need to feel sexy, and advertisers use that to their advantage. As a result, those guys will purchase products that will help them to reach that goal. For the most part, everyone enjoys sex and subject material about sex, so why not include it in product or service that you want to look good? Another reason sex appears so much in advertisements is the fact that our society allows it with hardly any questions asked. People thought that Elvis shaking his hips was too risky for TV; never mind the almost nude bodies that are seen on the tube now. However, if one were to jump back to the 1950s the ads of today wouldn't even be published. As long as we are a sex driven culture, sex appeal in advertisements is just going to keep on coming. With all of the other horrible things going on in the world today, sex appeal is the least of people's worries, which is somewhat understandable. Sex among teenagers is heavily rising, and the age of single women providing for themselves and having numerous one-night stands is beginning. The advertising companies of today really live by the phrase, Sex Sells. At this rate, full naked bodies will be tolerated and allowed in a few years. So naturally, sex is more commonly used in products that are targeted more to men. Advertisers feel that if they can make a certain product look sexy and provocative enough, then that just might be what they need in order to sell. The teenagers of today are a lot more sexually active than in any other previous decade.
