Teen Drinking

             People have different opinions whether or not the legal drinking age should be lowered to eighteen years old. Those people who think that a person who is old enough to vote and to go to war, should be allowed to drink alchol. People who are against this issue about drinking believe if the drinking age was to be lowered to eighteen years old, car accidents and drinking deaths would be increased. I think the age of drinking should not be lowered to eighteen, because teens are not as responsible as adults, there would be more accidents caused by teens drinking, and more teens are likely to drop out or miss school.
             My first reason why the drinking age should not be lowered to eighteen because there would be more car accidents. To begin, the death rate for drinkers is as high as it is now. I think that if the drinking age was to be lowered more then the accidents for drunk drivers could double, because teens are not as experienced as adults when driving and teens will do stupid things behind the wheel when drunk. Teens have a less understanding of driving than adults. This reason why, because teenagers don't have as many years of driving as adults behind the wheel.
             Secondly, the drinking age should not be lowered to eighteen because most teens are not as responsible as adults. Teens use drinking as a way to fit in or just to be social. The only reason mostly why teens drink because they get pressured into drinking and they are afraid that they wont fit in. when teens get pressured into drinking it also leads into other things like doing stupid stunts to impress others, or just get pressured into drinking more. Other teens just drink just so they can get drunk. When a teen gets drunk they wouldn't know or care how much they are drinking.
