Mexico
Entering into the airport made my anxiousness to get there double. It was me, my brother, my mom and dad. I had never been to Mexico before, but I was hoping it was going to be as fun as I had hoped. The flight seemed to take the whole day. By the time we reached our destination, it was pitch dark outside. As I stepped off the plane, I felt the humid, hot air against my face. I looked to my left, and there was a palm tree. I looked to my right, another palm tree. That’s when I knew for sure that I was on the i . . .
It was probably one of my favorite trips and definitely the most unforgettable. I was introduced to many new kinds of food that were extremely delicious. The day I left, I knew that I would hopefully return some day. I had unlimited snorkeling from a small pier at our hotel, so I got to see hundreds of different species of fish and other sea creatures. By the time I go to my room, I was dog tired and went right to sleep. The town’s entire population showed up for the first evening of festival - it was amazing. In the downtown, I was lucky enough to see a huge festival that the city put on. And I got to see some old Mayan ruins which was a truly inspiring sight. As we left the airport in our taxi car, I found the roads to be very annoying - not only were the roads on the opposite side, but they were so skinny that whenever we passed a car, I could have swore that we were going to hit it. I went down to the downtown of the city that we stayed in called San Miguel. To think that humans could make such massive buildings without the help of machinery. I went parasailing and got a tremendously beautiful view of the whole island.
