Rainforests

Because half of the world's plant species live in the rainforests, they provide at least half of the world’s supply of oxygen. If the rainforests disappear, so will most of the human population of the world. These species are extremely valuable to the human population and to our Earth as an inhabitable planet. At the rate of deforestation that we face today, all of the Earths rainforests will vanish forever, when it would benefit the human race immensely to realize the consequences that are faced from the destruction of the rainforests before they are gone for good. The under story and the forest floor are the two lower strata zones and are teeming with the remaining animal species. Thirty acres of trees are cut in the rainforests every minute.

The rainforests are full of diversity when it comes to the plant and animal species that inhabit it, many of which are found nowhere else on Earth.

Rainforests are also home to a ridiculously large number of different animal species, including microscopic animals, invertebrates, fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and mammals. Each second, a portion of rainforest the size of a football field is destroyed or damaged, and that much of the world’s oxygen is also lost along with the trees, In addition the extra carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere by the trees that are cut down.
