Religion V

People have often wondered where, when and why the universe began and where we came from, Christians believe that god made the earth, all living things and the universe. Scientists try to explain when the universe began by the big bang theory and that everyone evolved from apes. There are two main stories of creation in the genesis. One is from Gods point of view, in which he created the world in six days. 'On the first day he crated light: let there be light, and there was light.' On the following five days he created water, dry land, stars, creatures, air and finally man. In this version of creation it is only linked with God. The big bang theory states that billions of years ago all matter was compressed into one incredibly dense spot smaller than the size of a pinprick, it then suddenly it expanded and is what the universe is today. Evidence of this is that all the planets and galaxies are moving away from each other, this means that there must have been some kind of impulsion at the centre of the universe, like a big bang. Also scientists say that they have found the specific radiation reading that they expected the big bang to have given out billions of years ago. There have been times in history when science and Chris

There has never been a theory found in evolution which has proved that God was not behind the process itself. Throughout Newton's work his scientific work are given support by Biblical references. It concentrates on the nature of God and the world he created, and his purpose in creating it. Christians seek to understand the universe we live in and the place of humanity within it: so does science. On the Galapagos Islands in the Pacific Ocean he noticed many variations among plants and animals of the same general type as those in South America. This view would not contradict the scientific view that the earth is old and would allow for evolution by which God is the means. Therefore a part of scripture that came under attack from natural philosophers is given scientific support by Newton. Similarly, comets are linked with religious significance: Newton sees comets as agents of God, used to maintain balance in the density of stars. Charles Darwin was born on February 12, 1809 in Shrewsbury, England. It is possible, I suppose, to argue that the universe is not what it appears to be, that the Creator designed it to look as if it was the product of a very long period of growth and development when in fact it was not. Like several scientists before him, Darwin believed all the life on earth evolved (developed gradually) over millions of years from a few common ancestors. For anything to become scientific law, it must stand up to two processes: observability (it can be seen) and repeatability (it can be repeated).
