Communication is the process of transferring information, meaning, and understanding from sender to receiver. Communication has one goal; to improve the way an employee performs their job. Sometimes that can be difficult when the receiver does not have a complete understanding of what the sender is saying. Accurate communication within and between organizations, between managers to employees, or an employee to employees, and at meetings tends to be complex. “For instance, in a 2002 survey of 1,104 employees around the country, 86 percent of the respondents said that their bosses thought they were great communicators. Regularly scheduled meetings of relatively small groups of employees are an excellent means for discovering possible sources of dissatisfaction and valuable suggestions.
Communication within the organization can cause problems internally, with the customer, and culturally. As a part of their regular responsibilities, they should create conversations with employees, on an informal basis. Over 3,000 languages and major dialects are spoken in the world today. Time can be used very differently with respect to individuals and even cultures. It just gives me a great impression that I work for a company that communicates well with its employees, which I hope to continue to do the same.
Communication tends to have a basic model, which entails of four actions encoding (constructing a message), sending, receiving, decoding (interpreting a message) and five component messages.
