A Doll's House

             The book plays off in the 19th century, the time when woman were still seen as a lower class that the man of men in general and also the man of the house, where woman had to obey most of the things the man of the house said. When woman were still seen as possession to the man ( to Torvald at least ).
             The story starts off in Christmas time when everything is all-joyful, and Nora and Torvald still seem to be madly in love. It all starts off as a normal life for two people that loves each other. Until one of Nora's friends, Kristina, come to visit her. That's when things start moving towards bad, its when they come into an argument about how Nora that hasn't done anything bad in her life. Then the big secret of Nora is revealed. And she only tells Kristina about her secret.
             The secret is all about Nora trying to help Torvald because he was sick by borrowing money from Krogstad to go to Italy so that Torvald can get better but by doing this she had to sign an I.O.U plus the signature of her father, but instead she forged her father's signature, and wrote the wrong date on the I.O.U, 3 days after her father died, And now she can be charged with
             Normally in plays such as these secrets are mostly told in the end of a story and not in the beginning of the story. In this play it is probably said in the second act and that is mostly what the whole play goes about.
             The letterbox and the letter its self is also like a trap for Nora to her downfall. And for Torvald he can loose his most priceless " possession". Because he sees his woman as a possession and every man should have a wife that looks after the kids and makes food and clean the house and if he doesn't have "one" he would not be a man in his eyes.
             Tovald does not want Nora to eat sweets because he says it will mess up her teeth yet she goes and eats the macaroons that Nora keeps hiding in
