Al Capone

In this essay about Al Capone, I attend to prove to you that he was a cold heart killer who gave no mercy. Capone was a notorious gang member with no respect to anyone and would kill anyone on request or if someone just made him mad.Alphonse Capone was born on January 17, 1899 in Brooklyn, New. His parents immigrated to the United States in 1893 from Italy. Capone was from a family of eleven and was the fourth oldest. He grew up in a dangerous neighborhood of Brooklyn and was a member of two Kid Gangs the Brooklyn Rippers or Bin Booms. Capone was very good when it came to street smarts. Al was terrible in school because he was illiterate. He was kicked out of school in the sixth grade, when he was 14. He was kicked out of school for beating a women teacher and knocking her to the ground. After school he took a job as a pinsetter a

In 1918, Al Capone met an Irish girl named Mary Mae Coughlin at a dance. While Al Capone was with the Five Pointers he worked at a restaurant as a bouncer. And he would even kill his own gang members if he felt it was necessary. This was due to many months of practice shooting empty bottles in the basement of the restaurant he worker in. Capone's first arrest was on an assault charge. Al soon became recognized by his gang as a vicious fighter with explosives, knifes, and gun's. The Five Pointer's leader was Johnny Torrio, and there were over 1,500 members. Capone soon became Torrio's right hand man sending Capone first to do all his dirty work. While on the streets he became an expert knife fighter. He became an excellent hitman with revolver's and automatic weapons. This gave him the nickname "Scarface". Soon after Capone killed a rival gang member, Yale sent him to Chicago to wait until things cooled off. While at the restaurant he got many facial scars, including one five inches long across his right cheek.
