In this day and age music of all kinds are very important part of our lives, it gives out information of current events we normally would not hear of, is an important outlet of self-expression, and the content is made of things many people can relate to, but many groups and parents are offended and believe there are subliminal messages that corrupt kids, some of the lyrics may ne offensive but give a message to the kids that are positive. The adults that say the cursing in music is bad for children are hypocrites. All parents and adults cuss in front of there children for no good reason, at least in music the kids are getting a good message. And for the content of the lyrics many may be a bit controversial or racy, but if you look close enough to the lyrics you get the message out of it. Some lyrics however have no positive messages or any thing are normally songs that make you feel good and wanna go dance or party. Music is just words put to a beat that send out a message or the way an artist feels about a certain subject, the lyrics should be left alone and unaltered for people to get the message.
             Just because you listen to rap music doesn't mean you are a bad person like many people perceive you to be. Just because a person listens to an artist like Eminem or Marilyn Manson don't mean that person is going to kill somebody and take drugs when life gets them down.
