             Being aware of the symptoms of aggression can perhaps lead us to help solve the problem of the growing number of child aggressive misconduct acts. In the past, the family structure has been based on a family with one working parent, and one who stayed home to take care of the kids. Studies recently show that having just one parent in the presence of the children at home, as opposed to day care, lowers the probability for adolescent aggressive behavior. In addition to just one working parent, the average worker worked a shorter day, allowing more time to be spent with the family for important interaction. Furthermore, violence, spousal abuse, and divorce rates are all much higher than in the past. These factors and the breakdown of the structure of the family are what ultimately lead to adolescent acts of misconduct.
