The inability to act quickly on a situation or problem can leave one to be the victim of such events. Claudius in the Shakespearean play “Hamlet”, is shown to have dug himself into a very similar, and deepening hole. The extent of this desperation relies directly on the consequences, and will determine to what length a person will go to cover ones devilry with lies. Hamlets guidance of his own distemperment and questionable insanity is used like a keenly sharpened defense mechanism, overcastting all his thoughts and ambitions to his surrounding friends and foes. If one cannot control a situation or make calculated decisions in an instance, quite often that person will become piece to the players. Though it is not evident to his peers that Hamlets behavior is seemingly desperate, his means are still very methodical in shrouding his secrets.
Resourcefulness, or the lack there of, can be the decisive point when considering where one will end up in life. Hamlet in the play “Hamlet”, by William Shakespeare conveys that he is not often caught off guard for the way he places his pieces are premeditated and mindfully strategic.
The importance of having the ability in life to become the player and not the pawn exceeds all else when ones questionable personal agenda becomes forebodingly evident. A byproduct of this resourcefulness is shown through his manipulation of people through highly abstract and convoluted ramblings which tend to lead no where but to their own dismay. If you have the ability to use your surroundings and manipulate situations to your liking, it is quit possible, in a Darwinist sense of the word, that you will be more successful in achieving your own personal goals and desires.
