A really Cute Corpse
A Really Cute Corpse by Joan Hess is my book. My book is about a women, Claire Malloy, who owns a book depot and lives in a little town called Thurberfest. Her book depot is a shabby, dusty, disorganized bookstore but it is "her" shabby, dusty, disorganized bookstore. Claire has a daughter who is 15 years old. Claire's friend, Luanne Bradshaw, had broken her ankle due to a losse nail on the theater stage. Luanne was the director for the second annual Miss Thurberfest teen beauty pageant. Luanne had asked her good friend Claire to fill in. After many times of Claire saying"No" in all different ways, she still ended up giving in to Luanne and helping her out. Claire didn't believe Beauty Pageants were ethical, but she still helps her friend anyway. Caron, Claire's daughter, was so excited about her mother directing the pageant. One of Caron's friends, Julianna, was a contestant in the pageant, and she was hoping to win the money to help her get into a college. After Claire agreeing to the job she run into all of these complication of bing the advisor. Cyndi Hay was the last year's Miss Thurberfest, and she was at the rehearsals helping out and practicing her opening act. She was running this year but she crowned the
So Claire on top of all of the things she had to get done, was the driver. She was very strick about what Cindy ate, did, and the was she slept! There wasn't much about her, but the things that were discribed about her didn't make her believable. There wasn't much physical appearance, but I do know that she has red hair. After Cindy had almost been hit, Claire had spoked to the owner of the theater, Mac. I would recommend this book to people who lie to be curious until the ending. Claire coughed but she was fine but Cindy was unconscious but still breathing. My characters are mostly believable. She was directing one when she had "accidentally" tripped on a nail and fell, where she had broke her ankle. In tears and almost out of breath she had blurted out to Claire that someone was trying to kill her and they had left a nasty message on her mirror. So through out the book she was on crutches and unable to do anything. But by the time they had gotten there the press and news were all over the place asking questions about the shot. She was a divorced women, middle-aged and she used to be in alto to beauty pageants. Claire hurried downstairs, to see what was the matter. They don't mention anything about him having a family, wife, or even a house! He is always at the theater and he was up to no good. Then at her office door, Julianna and her dog, Chou-Chou, came to explain this smellforming downstairs in the basement.
