Oprah Winfrey is undoughtably a superior leader. She went through many tough times throughout her life and came out positively. Just like may other leaders today. Oprah also had a intriguing life. That is why I picker her for a twentieth century leader. Undoughtably Oprah is a superior leader because she went through many tough times and she never gave up. When she was young, her relatives sexually abused her. She didn't give up though and to me that's what I think makes her a good leader. Even something as tragic as that, she did not give up. Instead she moved and excelled in school. She made good grades and scholarships to the University of Tennessee. She is a extremely intelligent person with a caring heart. Any leader has to be smart. Oprah is also a caring person but she can maintain her leadership qualities even while she cares. Oprah is also a good leader because when she was sexually abused she turned the negative energy into positive energy by excelling in school. Oprah also set goals and achieved them. Oprah lost a lot of weight when she first started her TV show. She lost 90 pounds and achieved her goal. All leaders have to set goals and do what ever it takes to achieve them. Oprah also h

To this day she is running a successful studio, magazine and talk show. All leaders are going to get criticism but good leaders wont take it to the heart just like Oprah. Oprah produced and starred in the move Before Woman Had Wings. Also she became the host of AM-Chicago and later renamed The Oprah Winfrey Show. After that Oprah had low self esteem and wasn't feeling good a bout herself and the things around her. She mispronounced words, which got her fired. Oprah went through many tough times in her life but was positive about it. All of her jobs she needed good public speaking skills. She was always good at her jobs because she was able to learn new things at a real fast pace. The Oprah Winfrey Show became a nationally syndicated show. Smarter people make a stronger nation, and a stronger nation means a more successful nation. She was really good at her job and always spoke her mind! That was Oprahs part time job while she was going to college.
