Will There be Peace in the Middle East

Imagine going to sleep every night not knowing if you were going to wake up the next morning. This is what the Israel and the Palestine citizens have to think about every day before they go to sleep. This problem has been going on with Israel and Palestine for the past fifty years. They have been fighting over land they both believe is their holy land. They have tried splitting the land equally in half but both the leaders want it all. So the main cause of them still fighting is both the leaders are being stubborn. I have been studying this situation for the past fifty years I have been working with the CIA. The most recent attack happened last week where a Palestinian suicide bomber went to Rishon Letzion and killed more than fifteen people (CNN). In retaliation to the attacks of last week Israel positioned their tanks on the border of Palestine. This conflict is occurring because of a 50 year problem over religious land.

Every day the citizens of these countries have to live their lives in fear wondering if there was an attack planned for that day against their community. The conflict over land dates back hundreds of years. This fifty year old problem will never be solved if both the leaders of this country are so stubborn and if they don’t mind there people being killed over such a harmless reason.
