Martin Luther King Jr. was a very looked upon man. As important in history as he was, we named a holiday after him. Being an effective person in the 60s we will always remember the words that he spoke on the Washington Lincoln Memorial..."I have a dream." The day he spoke these words at the Washington Lincoln Memorial was a day many lives had been affected. He showed everyone there is more to life than the color of a person's skin. He proved even thought our skin colors may be different, we are all still the same on the inside and do have the same feelings. No matter how hard a person may try there will always be just this one time they do not like someone or something which shows as being racist or discriminating against someone. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like water and righteousness like a mighty stream. We can never be satisfied as long as the Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and a Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote. To think there has really never been a time when a person has not been racist, is to think someone is perfect. iny is tied up with our destiny and their freedom is inextricably bound to our freedom. proves though there are many equalities, there are still many differences. Though, after his speech was made, there were a lot of things changed, there is still something and always will be something there that is stopping everyone from being treated equally. was a man who believed in equality between races. He speaks of even if things are improved in some way, for Negro's it will still be poor. He says "we cannot be satisfied as long as the Negro's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one.
