There are many reasons that I would like to be involved in Youth Leadership. Our county has many things to offer residents. It is one of the largest counties in Arkansas in population and size. We have some of the best schools in the state, wonderful athletic programs, and a wide variety of businesses. Although the County has many things to offer, it also has things that it is lacking. I think that the arts are a big part of children and teenager’s lives today. We lack a place and the opportunity for the arts.

Everyday I would have to talk to my patient’s owner in order to convey what was wrong with their animal. Youth Leadership would offer me many skills, and the opportunities would be endless. I would like to be involved in this organization so that I could help promote what a wonderful county we have, and leave an impact on my county.
I feel that I have many talents and abilities to contribute to this organization. By learning about different occupations, I would be able to choose the perfect job for me. One of the careers I am looking into is Veterinary Medicine. Soon I will be going to interviews for college scholarships and jobs where I will need many communication skills. There is also great diversity in the County. It is important for teenagers today to have a part in making their community better and stronger.
I also would like to be a part of Youth Leadership so that I would be able to learn more about different career choices. There are very small towns and large towns. The leadership skills that this organization would teach me would be used daily. I think that we lack a strong unity in some areas. Often teenagers today are confused about what career they want to pursue after high school.
