Hawaii

Hawaii is a very exciting place to visit. There are many famous things there that you can see. Hawaii may just seem like a fun place to go vacation at but it is much more. There is a lot of history on it that you may not know. If you don't then here's your chance. When did Hawaii become a state is what you may be thinking. Well, Hawaii proved eager to take on full responsibilities of statehood. Since under the leadership of Hawaii's last delegate to Congress, John A. Burns, the 86th congress approved statehood and the bill was signed into law by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. This happened on March 18, 1959. Hawaii was admitted to the United States in August 21, 1959. Hawaii was the 50th state to join the union. Hawaii has a lot of exciting history. Many things have happened in the past on Hawaii. One is Pearl Harbor. That was when the U.S. Navy set up its pacific headquarters at Pearl Harbor and the Army a huge a garrison at Schofield Barracks


Hawaii's long isolation ended at that moment. Kaui is the home to many rare plants which cannot be found anywhere else on earth. " The former plantation has only one small town, mountain ranges, and the country roads, which takes you to the endless, deserted beaches. That is why Hawaii is mainly made out of its volcano's. Hawaii is right about on top of the hot spot of the earth. Maui has tropical forests and a massive volcano that is call "Haleakala", which takes you on one of the most spectacular drives on the island. Because Hawaii is such a beautiful tropical state many people choose it as their vacation spot. It receives close to 500 inches of rain every year. Waimea Canyon and the rugged Na Pali Coast are Kauai's great landmarks. You could be thinking why their any volcanos on the other islands aren't. It's the island with the volcano goddess, Madame Pele. It has steep sea cliffs and lush valleys on one side and dry climates on the other.
