Revolution

             Throughout global history, there have been major political, economic, social, and cultural revolutions. These revolutions have had complex causes and have left lasting impacts on people's lives. The term revolution is the overthrow of a government. One revolution is the Industrial Revolution. The second is the Enlightenment period. The third is the Commercial revolution. They all have taken place because the countries want to become more powerful and wealthier.
             The Industrial Revolution helped the people out a lot because it made it easier to work. They invented machines such as the Spinning Jenny and Jethro Tull's seed drill. These machines made it faster to get things done. The faster they produce the more they can sell. Now there profits will boost up and they the country can become wealthier. So the Industrial Revolution helped reduce the work of people and produce things faster.
             The Enlightenment period started from some key ideas put forth by Thomas Hobbes and John Locke. However, they came to very different conclusions about government and human nature. Hobbes believed that all humans were naturally selfish and wicked. Locke believed that people could learn from experience and improve themselves. This affected people because they opened their minds and started to question things.
             The commercial Revolution dramatically changed the economic atmosphere of Europe. This started a new wave of business and trade in Europe. This also started the rise of capitalism. Now the people can own wealthy businesses. Then merchants invested their money in trade and overseas exploration. The profits they gained helped businesses across Europe grew and flourished.
