Salem Witch Trails

Salem Mass was a very small and unpopulated community with one thousand habitants. In 1962, many people were trailed, as witches because of a small out break that know one knew how to cure. Evidence was not accurate in the trials and would cause over nineteen deaths. People who were affected by this strange disease were within the ages of nine to twenty years of age. The accused were all ways shown in a ball of light, like a ghost like image. asked many questions about if it were a witches spell? Or even if the devil had come to talk to her. Some women that were accused are Sarah Good, Susannah Martain, Elizabeth How, Sarah Wilds, Rebecca Nurse, Sarah Osborne, Tituba. The new court released those awaiting trial and pardoned those awaiting execution.

As years passed, apologies were offered, and restitution was made to the victims' families. Thirteen women and five men from all stations of life followed her to the gallows on three successive hanging days before the court was disbanded by Governor William Phipps in October of that year. As time went on many people, mostly women were in jail and it was becoming over crowded. All accused were sent to jail and would have to wait up to a year to be put to the stand.
