According to Webster, Virtual means "something that is in effect or in essence, though not formally recognized or admitted". Life's experiences may not be formally recognized as higher learning. But experience can teach us hidden truth about ourselves. Learning from experience is the key to success. Life is my virtual university. I have learned a great deal from it. Here is one example.

Disappointment is a better instructor than a lecture. Hundreds of people took their seats in the stadium. However with time and practice, I began to build a new confidence. I forgot what I was going to say next! I just stood there, stiff on stage, with everyone staring at me and the cameras still rolling. There were bright spotlights and cameras flashing everywhere. To me, the failure was a shame, but surprisingly I got much more in return. The din of the vast audience was intimidating. But I am always grateful for the lesson learned from disappointments. For a long time after this my confidence remained crushed, but I knew that I had to conquer my fears if I was going to achieve success in my life.
On the day of the contest, my excitement grew. At first, every time I heard cameras click or roll, I had flashbacks of that humiliating day.
