Over the next few years there is expected to be a lot of changes within a lot of graphics software packages. Many more people are using graphics packages like Paint Shop Pro and Photo Shop whether it is at home or in their workplace. Users of these packages can expect to see developments within the software over the next 2 - 5 years.In a software package like Paint Shop Pro it would be useful to have more tools. Automated scratch removal would be an extremely useful tool to someone who wanted to repair an old photograph. These images could then be used in computer games, for example. Perhaps soon a user at home will be able to create a perfect 3D images of his/herself using a digital camera and a 3D application. A faster processor would mean polygons could be moved faster to create seamless FMU's or cut scenes. Different clothes, hair, features and other aspects could be created and with minimal fuss too. Adding some 3D tools would also be useful. Better text editing would also be good. High end applications that are used to produce games and animated movies like Toy Story can be improved too. These could be painted over as desired by the user. Templates of objects, people and animals would be very useful. Someone would be able to create 3D bitmap images with ease and then save them as a bitmap. Users would also benefit from a better image extraction method enabling the user to paint over an extraction area without needing to set up masks first. This would be very useful to any user.
