In the last year there has been an event that has changed the United States emotionally, physically, and economically. This event is the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon on September eleventh, 2001. Two planes hijacked by terrorists crashed into the Twin Towers; another plane hijacked crashed into the Pentagon. There were 1402 victims in the North Tower, and 614 in the South Tower. The New York police and firefighters have recovered a lot people from the two towers, nearby offices, and buildings. The number of people killed in the Pentagon was 184; and at least 12 children have lost a parent in the Pentagon. This affected the emotional, physical, and economical status of the United States.

This has caused the economical imbalance in America. All of them were hoping if someone had seen their families or friends.

In conclusion, people are feeling insecure in New York and other states also. A reason for this is the airlines; many people refused to go on airlines after September eleventh. The United States economy did go a little towards depression, and worries still remain; but the toll contrasted, imposing the heaviest damage on travel and tourism.

The economy has lost more than $50 Billion, because of the Twin Towers and the nearby six buildings that collapsed. People are also wearing a pin of the American flag and a ribbon to represent those who lost their lives in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. This is not the only physical discrepancy in the United States. After the attack more people are placing flags on their houses and cars to show their support for their country in a time of need. The United States has also changed emotionally, physically, and economically after the September eleventh attack due to these reasons and more. This in turn caused a large number of airlines to lose money and some even had to file chapter eleven bankruptcies. Another dissimilarity today in the United States is the bumper stickers on cars related to the September eleventh attack; and people who paint their houses red, white, and blue. There is more security at the airports due to the hazard of planes being hijacked. es in the World Trade Center were coming to the cameras of news reporters with pictures in their hands.
