Macbeth
Macbeth and Banquo, who are generals in the army of King Duncan of Scotland, have just fought a battle and have defeated the Thane of Cawdor. The fame of their victory reaches the King before they have returned from the battle. On their way back, Macbeth and Banquo run into three witches, who hail Macbeth as thane of Glamis, Thane of Cawdor and king after that Banquo demands a prophecy as well and the witches say that he will be father of kings though he himself will not be one. The witches vanish but part of the prophecy is confirmed immediately when two messengers from King Duncan meet them and greet Macbeth as the Thane of Cawdor, who has been condemned to death. The partial fulfillment of the witches' prophecy and King Duncan naming his son Malcolm Prince of Cumberland motivate Macbeth to plot the King's death. When he shares this information with Lady Macbeth, she agrees to the plot and is more motivated than Macbeth himself. Duncan and his sons visit Macbeth's castle and their plan to kill him develops. On the way to Macbeth's castle, Banquo and his son Fleance run into murderers hired by Macbeth to kill him and his son. However, only Banquo is killed and his son runs away before they can get him. The first is an armed head, which is Macduff's symbol, which warns him to beware Macduff. The English forces that are coming to storm Macbeth's castle are lead by Malcolm and Siward, the Earl of Northumberland. Her doctor and a gentlewoman witness her sleepwalking and reveals to them what her and her husband have done. Macduff, who is a powerful lord, has joined Malcolm in England. Near Birnam Wood, they decide to hide themselves by cutting tree branches and using them as a disguise. Macbeth is alerted that Birnam Wood is moving against him and that the Queen has died. Macbeth is now being regarded as a violent tyrant. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth pretend to be very disturbed and sad by the death. The next morning, after Macduff discovers the dead king. Malcolm and Donalbain, the King's sons, are afraid that the same thing will happen to them and they leave the country and Macbeth is crowned the king. Macbeth doesn't know whether to take time to care for his wife or get ready to fight.
